To know Jesus is to know the Father. To know Jesus is to become a child again and be awakened to the reality that we have a Father in heaven with unlimited power and sovereignty calling the shots;providing every thing we need in this life.
You see many people are religious about Jesus. They love Jesus. They have his T-shirt’s and they sing about him. They say his name and they revere him. But they haven’t gotten the full revelation of the Father yet;they haven’t yet been supernaturally born again and converted into a child of God looking to do the will of the father. (Matthew 7:21/12:50)
This is the purpose for why Jesus came-to reveal the Father. He says in Matthew 11:27 that no one knows the Father except the Son and whoever the Son reveals Him to. In John 14:7 Jesus says to his disciples that if they knew him(Jesus) then they should have also known and seen his father.
You see, not even Jesus came to reveal Jesus. He came to reveal the Father. Israel already new Jesus and had been interacting with Jesus since Genesis.
-Jesus is the one that met Abraham (John 8:56)
-Jesus met the prophet Isaiah (Isaiah 6:1, John 12:41
-Jesus wrestled with Jacob
-Jesus was the spiritual rock that gave them water in the wilderness
-Jesus ate with Moses and the 70 elders Exodus 24:9-10
-Jesus received worship from Joshua
-Jesus was whom David worshipped and adored (Psalms 110:1)
-Jesus stood with the 3 Hebrew boys in the fire( Daniel 3:26)
Israel already met Jesus over and over and over again!
This is why it broke his heart when they didn’t recognize Him.
But what Israel had not yet known WAS THE FATHER
When a person knows the Father in Heaven,their whole life changes.
As unlikely as it is to be hit by a Mack truck and be unchanged, It is impossible to meet your Daddy and be the same person.
